Framlingham local group

The Framlingham local group covers Framlingham, Debenham and surrounding villages.  We organise a programme of evening talks during the autumn to spring period and visits to wildlife sites in the summer as well as some fundraising events.

We are a friendly and informal group and have an excellent band of volunteers who help in numerous ways.  We would welcome new faces in the audience as well as offers of help with organisation.  We are particularly keen to find people to organise events for children.

The group is lucky to have some wonderful Suffolk Wildlife Trust reserves on its patch, such as Fox Fritillary Meadow at Framsden and Framlingham Mere.  There are regular work parties at two of our local sites for those who like to get stuck in!

Comment from the group:
“We are far from being wildlife experts but just enjoy the natural environment and wish to do our bit to enhance it.”
